Hartman Party of 4, your table is now ready!

Now that's a line we haven't heard in a very long time. Last night when Chris got home from work we realized that we only had Kylie and Kamryn with us. Avery and Madi are in Cape May and CJ was spending the night with friends. We decided to take the girls out to dinner. We were seated in a booth. Kyle said, "Wow, we never get to sit in a booth." We usually get a few tables pushed together.

Kamryn's Surgery

On Friday morning Kamryn had her second surgery to remove the nevus on her head. She also had a nevus removed from her leg. Once again she was a real trooper.

Four months ago, when she had her first surgery, I promised to get her whatever she wanted. If you remember, she only wanted a hershey bar. Well, now she is a bit older and apparently a bit wiser. This time around she said she wanted to go to the mall and go shopping. On Sunday afternoon Kami and I headed to the mall for her special treat. Here she is with all of her goodies....a new hat, sunglasses, t-shirt, and a Daisy Duck doll.

Madi's Birthday!

Chris took a half day so we could all spend the day together to celebrate Madi's birthday. She started with gifts first. Here she is with her 'favorite' gift.

We then headed to Peace valley for a picnic. Madi's choice. She wanted to be able to go somewhere that we could bring Meadow.

Believe it or not, they all sat on this log in age order by themselves after they finished eating.

For dinner tonight, the birthday girl wanted to make pizzas. Here is the crew with their own dough!

The birthday girl with her b-day cake. Just in case you didn't know, I refuse to buy a bakery cake for my hubby or kids. I always make them whatever type of cake they want. This year Madi asked for gooey butter cake! According to Madi, "this was the best birthday ever!"

Happy 12th birthday to our Madi in the Middle!!!! We have an awesome day planned for our beautiful girl. I hope she enjoys her day!

Grand Slam Sunday!

Today Madi got to open one of her birthday presents 3 days early....2 tickets to today's Phillies game. After church, Chris and Madi headed to the game. Madi witnessed her first GRAND SLAM!!!

This afternoon Kami and I went out back to our garden and picked 2 zucchini for dinner tonight. She told me I had to hurry up and take the picture because the zucchini were sooo heavy.

So with my two home grown zucchini I made a pasta, crab, zucchini dish. It was a hit with everyone but ...u guessed it...Madi!

Happy 16th Birthday CJ!!!!!

WOW!!!! I can't believe my lil' boy is 16. Today we celebrated his day with just the seven of us. Our night started out with opening gifts. Gotta love starting with a bag full of candy favorites. Birthday boy's dinner pick....tacos!!! Kami has more fun making them than she does eating them.

Cake time! Birthday boy's pick....strawberry short cake. Kylie made the cake with only a tiny bit of help from me. It was so fabulous. Great job Kylie!

Since it was such a warm night we decided to head to the swim club for an evening swim. Here is Kami ready to go! If you truly know me, then you know I have come a long way, because there is NO WAY CJ, Kylie, Madi, or Avery would have been aloud to go out in public looking so ridiculous.

At the end of the night Kami got showered and changed and relaxed waiting for the rest of the crew! Unfortunately, we had to leave a bit earlier than expected because Chris got called back into work....
