When we first moved to Montgomeryville, one of the things we decided we wanted was a garden. Springs came, springs went, but still no garden. Well, finally, 10 and half years after moving here, we have our very own garden. Tomatoes, green peppers, red peppers, jalepeno peppers, basil, cucumbers, zuccini, pumpkin. And the blue trash can in the pic is not a trash can at all. Chris is also growing his own potatoes. Don't ask....I don't know either!!!! Our first lil sprout. A jalepeno!

Weekend Update
Friday night was the Variety Show at Madi's school. She and 3 of her friends were the opening act. She did such a great job. The video is below. CJ spent the night at a friend house Saturday night. They lit a bonfire and pulled an all nighter. He crashed on the sofa when he got home and wouldn't move. Not really news, but we just thought it was funny.
As some of you know, Avery developed a wierd rash this past week. By Wednesday night it looked a lot like chicken pox. She went the doctors on Thursday night, after all of the other patients had left. The doctor decided to send her for blood work the next morning to determine if it was in fact chicken pox, or a really bad case of hand, foot, mouth. She was a real trooper when she got her blood drawn. On Sunday night our fabulous pediatrician called me to tell me that she contacted the lab for Avery and the results were in..........She does NOT have chicken pox! YIPPIE!!!! Back to school for Avery tomorrow!

Congratulations CJ!!!!
Several months ago CJ had to write a poem for English class. The only requirement was that it had to be about someone special. Today he found out that his teacher submitted his poem into a contest and he received a high merit award. I thought you might like to read his poem:
My Grandfather
My Poppy is someone important to me
He taught me the values of faith and family
He was smart like a doctor, and strong like a bear
He could fix anything not working, broken, or in disrepair
He taught me to respect nature and to love the outdoors
We spent lots of time at his mountain house doing chores
He had nineteen grand children who love him so
When he passed away last April it hurt me so
His memory I keep alive in my heart
His name I will someday get tattooed on my arm
