Kami Post-op

Today was Kami's 1st surgery to remove the nevus sebaceous on her head. She was such a good girl! Before she went back to the o.r. I told her that we would buy her anything she wanted. I thought I was definitely going tobe headed to either the toy store or pet shop....NOPE...I was wrong, all she wanted was a hershey bar!! After we got home from CHOP Chris went out and bought her the super-duper sized hershey bar...yummo!!!!!

Here is our baby lounging and recooperating at home. Here is pic of her stitches. OUCHIE.... Her next surgery is scheduled for the end of July. The doc is hoping that we wont need a third surgery...me too!

And the Mother of the Year Award goes to....

Anyone who has a big family will tell you, the youngest child doesn't have the same rules as the older kids do. When our other kids were young, Chris and I were very strict with bed time. By 7:30 all of our kids were bathed and in bed. Then came Kami. She is so easy going, that sometimes we forget that she is only 3. On weekends especially she has no clearly defined bedtime. Tonight was no exeption. While I was 'busy' updating my blog and facebooking, Kami got herself a little snack, then fell asleep...on the floor....in the family room. I think I need to get back to the basics of parenting....

The Muffin

Last week there was a mass for Tom at our church. Anyone in our family who went to the mass was invited back to our house for breakfast. Jill was gracious enough to bring along some homemade pineapple muffins. Now, I actually posted about these muffins last Sunday, but when Chris read my post he made me delete it bacause he didn't like me making fun of Jill. So...I deleted it. Jill then asked me where the post was. So.....at Jill's request....I would like to share with all about Jill's muffins!

First of all, you need to know that Jill is awesome in the kitchen. She is not afraid to try new recipes, and usually does a fabulous job. Well, last Sunday, Jill told us that her hubby was not a fan of the muffins and thought that she messed up the recipe. I told Jill that I would try a muffin and be honest...surely CJ was being too tough on his wife. Well....I am not sure I tried a muffin...scone...maybe.....but definitely not a muffin. The proof is in the picture above. When Jill and CJ left our house, she took her muffins with her. When they were outside Jill threw this muffin at CJ. He smacked the muffin back at her and it hit the cement sidewalk. Jill then decided to leave the muffin by our tree for our neighborhood squirrels. Notice how perfect the muffin still looks. So, Jill...when we start our catering, wedding planning, shower throwing, business, I do not think we will be offering pineapple muffins as an option! On a side note. If you look careful at the picture you will notice kernels of corn. Those are left by my hubby for the squirrels. I'll save that for later post.

SNOW DAY!

Well, today is Avery Eve and what better way to celebrate than with a snow day! I believe the girls spent more time getting their snow clothes on than they spent playing outside. This is Kami's true 1st snow! According to the news we haven't had this much snow at one time in years.
