RBI Single for the Dude.....

Madi at bat, got a single. Working the field.
Throwing out at first.
Madi stealing second...you go girl!!!!!!

Our cute little Madi is playing softball for our CYO team. She plays second base and outfield. She looks so damn cute in her uniform. Her first day of practice her coach said, "We got ourselves a little one here!" I think that is actually a "Quirkiness Worthy" quote. What do you think? Madi has a few more games left in the season and loves playing in front of a large group all screaming her name. Let me know if you want to join our cheering section to see our version of Lenny Dykstra play!!!!

Sad News

On Tuesday, April 22nd at 6:07 pm, my father-in-law, George, passed away surounded by his family. We are all so saddened and grief stricken.
The birds are still singing, dogs are still barking, the sun is still shining, but a great man has been silenced.
He was an amazing man who raised 5 children into 5 amazing adults. He and my mother-in-law, Kay, had a marriage that was built on love everlasting. He loved all 19 of his grandkids, and 6 great-grand kids.
He was always there for us anytime help was needed. He was such a smart man who could fix anything. He taught us all that family is always #1. He touched so many in so many ways, he will forever be missed. Love you, Dad...

Happy Sweet 16 Chelsey!

Tonight was Chelsey's Sweet 16th Birthday Party. The Hartman party van arrived fashionably late to the hall. We parked next to a car full of high school boys. It was then that I spotted my sweet little God- Daughter, Chelsey, saying hi to the car load of friends as they arrived to her party. We made eye contact, she looked away quickly, she telepathically said, "Please Aunt Jo Anne...do not say hi, just walk inside..." "Who me," I telepathically reply, "you must be mistaken, I am your young, cool, hip, everyone wishes I was their, Aunt...." I comply...I walk inside, with a 2 year old on my hip. That's cool, right? AAAHHHH, I am OLD!!!! Don;t worry, I am not hurt, I am still young enough to remember my sweet 16, but my God Parents didn't give me the hip gift we gave Chelsey. Curious what hip God parents give their God-Daughter for her 16th birthday????? Why a belly button piercing of course!!!! Hey, it's what she asked us for!!!!!! Happy sweet 16 to our lovely Chelly, Belly. Oh, the picture...it was the closest I could get to the birthday girl!!!!!

Kylie's Game

Today, Chris, the girls, and I went to Kylie's Lacrosse game. She played in at over half of the game. Here a pics of Kylie playing, the girls watching, and the girls reading when Kylie wasn't in the game. Her team won again, making them undefeated. Go Girlies!!!!

Winner, Winner, Family Dinner...

Tonight was the first family dinner in our new kitchen. What's on the menu...BBQ spareribs, roasted potatoes, and salad. Just in case anyone was curious, we go through 2 complete bags of the salad mix, 6 large potatoes, and the entire family size ribs that most families divide in half for another night. Leftovers are rare...makes me wonder how much food we would need if Madi and Kami actually ate.
