Father / Daughter Dance

After 2 cancellations because of snow, last night Avery and Chris finally headed to father/daughter dance at our elem school. Below is what I get when I ask for a pic.
Finally, I had to yell at my two goof balls for a serious pic....

Another Exciting Night

Tuesday night was CJ's final wrestling meet of the season. He started off great. He took his guy down to the mat, and hit his knee the wrong way causing it to dislocate. He tapped out of the match, and just laid on the mat with pain on his face. Not a pleasant moment for the mom!
The trainer and the coaches ran out to be with him. The trainer worked on his knee for a few minutes and popped his knee back in its place. They helped him off the mat and then iced his knee. The trainer told us it was the worst dislocated kneecap he has ever seen. He also told us that we would need to take CJ to an orthopedic surgeon in the morning. So, this afternoon he was seen by the orthopedic. The good doctor told us he just needed to wear a brace for a few weeks, limit his activity, and head back to his office in 4 weeks for follow up. All's well that ends well!

A Hartman Valentine!

Tonight the 7 of us celebrated Valentine's Day with crab fettuccine, sparking cider and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Another perfect day!

Kami and Daddy!

By 2pm CJ, Kylie, Madi, and Avery were all out in the neighborhood sledding with friends. So Chris took Kamryn out back to play in the snow. The snow was not ideal for making a snowman, and it was too deep for Kami to just run around in. So they headed to the swingset.

Finally, our little girl making snow angels! She is so damn cute.

Blizzard 2010 Part Duex

A few more shot of the blizzard of 2010 from our driveway.
The little dark spec is actually the corner of our park bench.

Snowed In!!!! Blizzard 2010

Above my beloved park bench...and it is only 3pm.....snow showing no signs of stopping!
Below is Madi and Tyler hanging out front. You can't even distinguish were the street is.

Here is our POPPY tree. Started as a seedling on Taylor Ave and replanted here when we moved in 11 years ago. It looks so beautiful, but I hope no damage is done.

Avery and Kami headed out back for some play time. It is such a fun snow to play in, they were out for at least 2 hours.

While the little girls were outside, I made cookies with the big girls. Here is Kami trying to warm up after being outside for so long...eating a cookie. Her cheeks were soooo red!

Snow Pics Part II

On Sunday we took the kids to Kid's Castle to sled. It was a perfect winter day. The sun was out, the air was warm, and the sledding was awesome.

Back at home, Baby loved running around in the deep snow, only problem, it took us about an hour to dry off all of the snow balls stuck to her fur.

Snow pics part I

Just a few shots of the dogs playing in the snow and Chris snow blowing the driveway. Meadow loves the deep snow. Baby...not so much. It's a little too deep for her.
We measured 11 inches at 10am and it is still snowing.
Fun times!

Oh My!

A few weeks ago the water/ice line of our fridge started leaking out onto our floor. We knew it was time to replace our old fridge. After 3 stores, we decided on the french door. The sales person told us that the french door is a very large capacity fridge, good for large families. I really didn't think it looked that that big in the store until Kami went looking for something to eat!
