Kamryn's First Haircut

Today I took Kamryn to my hairdresser for her first hair cut. She didn't get much cut off, (anyone who knows me, knows...I don't do short hair.) It was a last-first for me and I am a bit melancholy over it. You see, every time Kami hits a milestone I realize that it will be the last time I get to experience that moment as a mommy. Today was last time I get to take one of my kids for their first haircut.

An Avery Story

Once upon a time there was cute little blond girl named Avery. One day Avery and her mommy went to the grocery store. While the mommy was getting herself a salad at the salad bar, Avery was walking around looking at all of the "salad fixins." All of the sudden the mommy heard Avery exclaim, "Yummmmmm, this crab is delicious!" By the time the mommy got over to where Avery was standing she had helped herself to 2 pieces of artificial crab. And she lived happily ever after...at least until she home.

Something About Madi

Today was Madi's class trip to the zoo. I graciously volunteered Chris to be a chaperone. I am not sure who had more fun walking around the zoo in the rain...Madi or Chris. Madi no longer wants to be a veterinarian, now she wants to be zoo keeper.

Our Easter

Here a a few snap shots into our day! Kamryn hangin' with Grammy, then with Jorja at Amy's house. As soon as we got to Karen's house, Kamryn took her seat at the table...3 hours before dinner. Finally, a shot of Karen making her fabulous pineapple stuffing.

10 Years Ago!

10 years ago this weekend we made the decision to move out of our small 3 bedroom home. When we first saw the house that we currently live in, I did not want to buy it because I hated the floors so much. Chris promised me that it would be the first thing we change in the new house. Well, here we are, 10 years later, and I am still walking on the ugliest kitchen floor ever. But not for long. This spring we are finally redoing our kitchen. Here are our before pictures. Stay tuned for the during, and God willing, the end product! I just need to make sure the kids are not around when Chris is remodeling...it can become quite colorful to the ears.

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!

Every once in a while, when the stars line up with the moon, and mother nature pops in to say 'hello' we are able to have a sit down dinner during the week with all 7 of us. The dance studio is closed for spring break, CJ is done wrestling for the season, lacrosse and softball practice were canceled because of the rain. What is at the end of this equation? A sit down dinner with all 7 of us. It started out as the perfect family night, a delicious home cooked meal, table set, grace said by all. Then the fun starts...Madi and Avery refused to eat this yucky, gross meal...Kamryn kept feeding her meat to the dog hiding under the table, and Kylie and CJ kept fighting over who was going to get the rest of the mashed potatoes, even though they both had a heap of potatoes still on their plates. A few minutes into our fabulous family dinner we have 2 kids crying, 2 kids fighting, and one very guilty looking puppy. And I wouldn't want it any other way!!!!!!!

Sunday Night Dinner!

We try to get together with the Christiansen family as much as possible. This Sunday we did a family dinner. This Sunday there were only 11 of us since Chelsey was at at friend's house. Here I am with Kami, Amberly, and Avery. Our get togethers are definitely not meant for thoses who need quiet, peaceful dinners. Tonights dinner theme was "Favorite Appetizers."

Madi News!

Saturday night at Diane's 50th birthday party, Casey and Erick asked Madison to be a bridesmaid in their wedding next April. She excitedly accepted. Later, Casey and Erick gave her this cool mug to enjoy her morning coffee in. Once again, I am a proud 'Mother of the Bridesmaid.'

Happy Birthday Chris!!!!!!

March 13th is Chris's 42nd birthday. I know what your thinking, how can I be married to someone so old. He robbed the cradle of course. Here he is on Happy Chris Eve, chilling out on his favorite chair with all his kids, and the dog trying to figure out how to get up there too.
